AccuWeather Featured in new Microsoft TV Campaign, Wins Visionary Award

AccuWeather is featured in a national television, print, and outdoor marketing campaign from Microsoft. The campaign is airing via media outlets such as ABC World News and The Wall Street Journal, and billboards at the 2015 Microsoft Convergence event in Atlanta, Georgia. The television commercial can be viewed on YouTube here, On March 17, 2015, AccuWeather was also presented the Microsoft Visionary Award in the Big Data category at Microsoft Convergence and featured throughout the event of 12,000+ attendees.

This year’s Visionary Award winners were chosen from more than 500 nominations submitted by Microsoft team members and partners across 12 different award categories.

In addition to award recognition, AccuWeather was featured throughout the Microsoft Convergence 2015 event. Myers and AccuWeather Chief Commercial Officer Casey McGeever participated in the Microsoft Keynote address where Microsoft showcased their new advertising campaign, spotlighting

AccuWeather’s impressive use and impact of big data. During the Keynote, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella provided a live demonstration of the revolutionary, patented new AccuWeather EnterpriseSolutions commercial Portal and the award-winning AccuWeather for Windows 8 mobile app. Live demos of the new Portal and the AccuWeather StoryTeller® Interactive Touchscreen Solution for business were also provided within AccuWeather’s exhibit at the Convergence Expo. Microsoft showcased a summary of key AccuWeather commercial partners and the results they have achieved from partnering with AccuWeather in their own words as further demonstration of AccuWeather’s global leadership.
